A: The best time is probably when there are questions regarding capacity to return to work and/or when maximum medical recovery has been reached.
What is a cost of care evaluation?
A: Comprehensive analysis of services, treatment/rehabilitation efforts, assistive devices and supplies that an individual may require or benefit from in order to promote a quality of life as close as possible to that which they enjoyed prior to the subject injuries.

VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION
What is a Vocational Assessment?
A: When a person is injured in a motor vehicle accident, there is a desire to return to their pre-accident life as quickly as possible, including returning to work. However, once a client is ready to return to work, they may be physically, cognitively or psychologically unable to return to their pre-injury employment. A vocational assessment utilizes aptitude and achievement test instruments in combination with occupational interest inventories as the foundation for determining labour market targets as well as whether educational upgrading is indicated post injury.
What is the cost of a Vocational Assessment?
A: Every client is unique. Testing will vary depending upon the objective of the vocational assessment. Generally, by answering a few questions, an approximate price can be determined over the phone.
How do I know if a Vocational Assessment is required?
A: If a client is unable to return to their pre-injury employment due to physical, cognitive or psychological difficulties, then a vocational assessment would be helpful in determining alternative employment or avocational pursuits and if educational upgrading is required and possible.
How long does a Vocational Assessment take to complete?
A: Depending on the goal of the assessment, various written tests in the areas of career interests, aptitude and achievement are completed and testing can take anywhere from two to six hours.

How long is a typical exercise program?
A: This depends on client and the goal of the exercise program. An initial assessment is necessary to determine a more precise guideline but typically programs range from 2-3 sessions/week for 4-6 weeks at 60-120 minutes per session before re-evaluation.
Which clients need a Kinesiologist supervised exercise program?
A: Any clients where an exercise program has been recommended by a health professional (Orthopaedic Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Family Doctor etc.)
What if my client has been recommended for an exercise program but the insurance company will not authorize funding?
A: If the insurance company will not pay for an exercise program we can still work with your client based upon the Exercise Program recommendations that have been made. Payment arrangements can be made directly with the referral source. Direction to Pay Services may also be available upon request.
